Trinity Youth Group
At Trinity, kid stuff is fun stuff -- but it also is about doing God's work with our hands. Our Youth Group focuses on fun and fellowship while engaging in meaningful service and discovering skills for living from a Christian perspective.
Children from grades 3 through 12 can be involved in our youth activities. The junior group (grades 3 through 7) and the senior group (grades 8 through 12) meet separately for some activities and together on other occasions.
Some of our regular activities include game nights, lessons, work sessions (in preparation for special events), group movie nights, and dinners. We have an annual family Thanksgiving Dinner and sponsor fun Halloween and Easter-themed events for children of the local community. In the past, we have presented Lenten dramas, hosted an Advent event, visited local nursing homes, and assisted with service at the St Francis Soup Kitchen, bingo at the Gino Merli Center (both in Scranton, PA), and volunteering as a group at the Dalton Food Pantry.
Visitors to our church with children in these grades are encouraged to visit us during one of our youth meetings or events. We have an awesome group of kids that contribute to our community, enjoy outings, fellowship, and Christian growth on a weekly basis. We encourage others to join us in our growth. Trinity Lutheran Church youth program is directed by Heather Klien. She can be reached at [email protected]. She will be happy to answer any questions.
